About this site

AustraliaPR is an independent editorial project. It is not owned by or affiliated with any migration agency, recruitment firm, education consultant, or government department.

What we cover

We publish weekly analysis of the five primary pathways to Australian permanent residency:

  • Subclass 189 — Skilled Independent
  • Subclass 190 — State Nominated
  • Subclass 491 — Regional Provisional
  • Subclass 186 — Employer Sponsored (ENS)
  • Subclass 482-to-186 — Temporary Skilled to PR transition

Each pathway page covers eligibility criteria, step-by-step application process, common rejection reasons, recent policy shifts, and practical decision frameworks. Policy pages track legislative and regulatory changes with links to primary sources.

Editorial stance

Every article on this site links to at least two primary sources — legislation, Home Affairs pages, occupation lists, or publicly available invitation-round data. We do not publish unverifiable statistics, anonymous quotes, or speculation presented as fact.

The site takes no position on whether Australia should raise or lower migration intake. We document what the rules are, how they are changing, and what that means for applicants.

What this site is not

  • It is not a registered migration agency. Nothing on this site constitutes migration advice under the Migration Act 1958.
  • It does not sell services, accept advertising from migration agents, or collect referral fees.
  • It does not process visa applications or lodge EOIs on behalf of anyone.

How to use this site

Start with the pathways index to compare visa subclasses. Use the points calculator to check your likely score against current invitation trends. Read the policy timeline for legislative changes.
